Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a range of activities and events during National Reconciliation Week (NRW).
The dates for NRW are the same each year: 27 May to 3 June. Look through the calendar to see how you can mark NRW at an event near you.
Hosting your own NRW event? Head to the Events page to add it to the calendar.
Please note: the events on this calendar are not the responsibility of Reconciliation Australia. If you have any questions regarding an event, please contact the organisers.
Lalai Dreamtime is a beautiful film by international cinematographer and award-winning director, Michael Edols (1942 – 2018).
In the 1970s, Aboriginal Elders of the Worrora of the Kimberley, asked Edols to use the ‘power of film’ to record their ancient stories. The task was to preserve for future generations their lore and culture in the face of the destruction of their Country.
Lalai Dreamtime portrays the return of a Worrora Elder and his family to their Spirit Country. According to lore, ancestral beings are part of the landscape and govern the daily rituals of life. Witness the extraordinary Wudu ceremony between an elder and his grandchild.
