Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a whole range of activities and events during National Reconciliation Week (NRW).
Check out the events below and see how you can mark NRW at an event near you.
The dates for NRW are the same each year; 27 May to 3 June.
Please note: the events posted below are not the responsibility of Reconciliation Australia. If you have any questions regarding an event, please contact the organisers.
National Reconciliation Week marks an occasion where we acknowledge and pay respect to the lives of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and highlights the resilience and strength of the worlds longest living culture.
A Welcome to Country will be given by a Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung Elder.
This will be accompanied by a musical performance from John Wayne Parsons, a baritone and proud Yugerra and Ugarem Le man, whose radiant positivity shines through his operatic style which appeals to audiences both young and old.
Let’s come together as a community to honour the past, celebrate the present, and build a better future for all!
Light refreshments will be provided.
