Summary

The Indigenous Governance Awards share and promote success from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations around Australia.

The 2022 Awards finally took place on Wednesday 8 June at a ceremony at the ICC Sydney, on the first day of the 2022 National RAP Conference, after two years of postponements due to COVID-19. 

The winners of the 2022 Indigenous Governance Awards are AH&MRC in Category 1; Brewarrina Local Land Council in Category 2; and Wungening Aboriginal Corporation in Category 3. 

Both the Koling Wada-ngal Committee and SAWCAN were highly commended in Category 1.
