NRW Events Calendar 2026

Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a range of activities and events during National Reconciliation Week (NRW).

The dates for NRW are the same each year: 27 May to 3 June. Look through the calendar to see how you can mark NRW at an event near you.

Kids Art Lab – Sea of Hands for Reconciliation

Come and create a Sea of Hands for Reconciliation for Reconciliation Week at Kids Art Lab.

Join respected Elder and Bakandji artist Aunty Jeanie Mason, alongside Kirrae Whurrung Eastern Maar Nations artist Ella Clarke, and Yorta Yorta, Gunditjmara art facilitator Jahneya Travis, with support from lead art facilitator Jo Mott, for a fun and educational workshop, designing your message for Reconciliation.

Using scratch board on hand-shaped paper, you will create your own designs and messages, while learning about the meaning and importance of Reconciliation.

In addition, a hands-on colored sand activity using Aboriginal-designed sandpaper, you will explore meanings behind traditional signs and symbols, deepening your understanding of First Nations culture.

A Yarning Circle will be set up alongside the activities, offering a reflective space for you to think about your message on Reconciliation, with artists and facilitators helping you along the way.
