May 24 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm UTC+10

Born in the Pilbara region and raised in Karratha before moving to Perth at age sixteen, Nyima’s journey highlights the tension between her urban life and her connection to her roots. The documentary follows her as she travels 1,500 km to return to her roots as an adult in November 2025, confronting memories and the landscapes that shaped her. The film is a personal exploration of culture, family, and the ongoing search for the meaning of “home”.

Synopsis: The film documents Nyima’s move back to her home country in the Pilbara after four years, capturing her reconnection with Country and family after moving to Perth at age 16.
Cultural Identity: It highlights the tension between modern urban life and indigenous heritage, exploring how to bridge these two worlds.
Collaboration: Directed and filmed by Harry Cunningham (photographer/filmmaker), the film evolved from an Instagram collaboration into a deeper story about Nyima’s life
