Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a range of activities and events during National Reconciliation Week (NRW).
The dates for NRW are the same each year: 27 May to 3 June. Look through the calendar to see how you can mark NRW at an event near you.
Hosting your own NRW event? Head to the Events page to add it to the calendar.
Please note: the events on this calendar are not the responsibility of Reconciliation Australia. If you have any questions regarding an event, please contact the organisers.

Geoscience Australia is proud to present Dr Kirsten Banks, a highly recognised astrophysicist, Wiradjuri woman and dynamic science communicator. Dr Banks’ Public Talk titled Aboriginal Astronomy: Exploring Sky Country through Science and Culture invites audiences to rethink the way we see the cosmos – shifting from a familiar Western view of constellations to an Aboriginal perspective of Sky Country, where meaning is found not only in the stars themselves, but also in the spaces between them.
Through stories such as the Dark Emu constellation woven through the Milky Way, audiences will discover how the sky was used as far more than a map of the heavens. These celestial patterns carried ecological knowledge, seasonal indicators, and lessons about life on Earth, revealing a deep understanding of the interconnectedness between the sky, land, and people.
Dr Banks’ Public Talk will be held in person and online.
