NRW Events Calendar 2026

Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a range of activities and events during National Reconciliation Week (NRW).

The dates for NRW are the same each year: 27 May to 3 June. Look through the calendar to see how you can mark NRW at an event near you.

Albury Reconciliation Week Flag Raising Ceremony

May 27 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am UTC+10

The event will be held on Wednesday 27 May 2026, at the Albury QE 11 Square flag poles on Dean Street, commencing at 10:00am and scheduled to conclude at 10:30am.

*Aunty Edna Stewart will perform a “Welcome to Country” ceremony.
*Uncle Darren Wighton will play the Digeridoo and perform a “Smoking” ceremony.
*The Albury City Mayor – Cr Kevin Mack will officially open the ceremony.
*AlburyCity Interim CEO – Steve McGrath to MC the event.
*Expected attendees include Mob, Kindergartens, Schools, organisation representatives, Government and Non-Government representatives, broader community members.

After the flag raising ceremony people will be invited into the Murray Arts Albury Museum for a cuppa and yarn.
