NRW Events Calendar 2026

Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a range of activities and events during National Reconciliation Week (NRW).

The dates for NRW are the same each year: 27 May to 3 June. Look through the calendar to see how you can mark NRW at an event near you.

Hosting your own NRW event? Head to the Events page to add it to the calendar.

Please note: the events on this calendar are not the responsibility of Reconciliation Australia. If you have any questions regarding an event, please contact the organisers.

Weaving Workshop – Woodcroft Library

June 7 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm UTC+10

Kaurna woman and Indigenous artist, Aunty Elaine Magias, shares her knowledge and experience to teach you this cultural custom with diverse natural materials and techniques as well as the meditative state weaving provides. Learn traditional Aboriginal weaving techniques to create your own unique piece to take home.

Elaine’s workshops offer a full cultural experience, fostering a safe and comfortable environment where conversations about Aboriginal culture, language, art, and beliefs flow easily.

All materials are provided, and participants will leave with a new skill and possibly new friends. The woven items will hold memories of the time, place and positive emotions experienced during the workshop.

Elaine learnt the skill of traditional weaving from her Elders.
