Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a range of activities and events during National Reconciliation Week (NRW).
The dates for NRW are the same each year: 27 May to 3 June. Look through the calendar to see how you can mark NRW at an event near you.
Hosting your own NRW event? Head to the Events page to add it to the calendar.
Please note: the events on this calendar are not the responsibility of Reconciliation Australia. If you have any questions regarding an event, please contact the organisers.
This annual service pays tribute to the vital contributions First Nations service personnel have made—and continue to make—to the Australian Defence Force.
For over a century, First Peoples’ have served in conflict and peacekeeping missions involving Australia. Yet, for many years, their service and sacrifice were not formally recognised or commemorated.
In 2006, the late Aunty Dot Peters AM, alongside Retired Flight Sergeant Sam Halim, then-President of the Healesville RSL, led the first dedicated remembrance service to honour First Nations service people. Today, remembrance services are held across Australia, reflecting a growing national recognition of First Nations military contributions.
