DESCRIPTION:Create your own coolamon inspired by the pop-up exhibition From Little Things\, Big Things GROW: From Nambour to Canberra. \nIn this this special Reconciliation Week creative workshop led by Gunggari and Kamilaroi elder Aunty Jude Hammond\, participants will learn about the cultural significance of the coolamon and symbols in First Nations art. \nGuided by Aunty Jude\, you will then create your own coolamon\, developing meaningful symbols and markings that express your identity. \nThis workshop is suitable for all ages and encourages intergenerational learning and sharing. \nAbout Aunty Jude\nGunggari and Kamilaroi elder Aunty Jude Hammond is a passionate First Nations artist and cultural and arts facilitator. Working in collaboration with Traditional Custodians\, she champions projects that promote peer-to-peer and cross-cultural sharing\, as well as providing\nopportunities for First Nations young people to showcase their skills and talents.
