DESCRIPTION:A special Reconciliation Week event for children\, with a Welcome to Country\, shared stories and hands on craft activities.\nJoin us at Burnside Library for a children’s Reconciliation Week event to come together\, listen\, learn and reflect. \nNational Reconciliation Week is held each year from 27 May to 3 June and is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories\, cultures and achievements and to think about how we can all contribute to reconciliation now and into the future. \nThe event will begin with a Welcome to Country presented by Luke Wilson with didgeridoo accompaniment by Rivva Karpany from Kumu Kaaru. Followed by story time featuring stories by Aboriginal authors. \nFollowing the presentation\, there will be time for children to take part in craft activities to respond to what they have heard. \nPlease register your interest.
