DESCRIPTION:A 4-hour Aboriginal Cultural Awareness workshop to gain knowledge and awareness of the culture\, history and experiences of Australia’s First Peoples during National Reconciliation Week. \nFacilitated by a First Nations’ leader\, this workshop explores the cultures\, values and belief systems of Aboriginal people\, and discusses the impacts of colonisation and how these still play out today. \nThis session is ideal for individuals and teams starting out their Aboriginal cultural competency journey\, to facilitate real and lasting change through changed attitudes and behaviours at both a professional and personal level. \nTopics include:\n– Aboriginal Australian history\n– Key cultural protocols\, values and belief systems\n– The impact of colonisation and dispossession\n– Barriers between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people today\n– The journey of wellbeing.
