Reconciliation Australia is an independent, national not-for-profit organisation.

Join an open-minded, positive and committed team of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous educators working on a new, national program focussed on reconciliation in education. We are looking for a professional and motivated educator to join Narragunnawali: Reconciliation in Education.

The successful candidate will bring to the team a wide range of experiences in Australian school and/or early learning service settings. You will be part of a national program that supports early learning services, primary and secondary schools in Australia to develop environments that foster a higher level of knowledge and pride in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and contributions.

As an integral part of the Narragunnawali team at Reconciliation Australia, you’ll have the opportunity to influence reconciliation in education on a national scale.

As a Senior Officer, you will:

  • Contribute to the development of Narragunnawali’s four key components:
    • Reconciliation Action Plans
    • Curriculum resources
    • Professional learning for teachers and educators
    • National Awards program
  • Contribute to the creative development of the Narragunnawali online platform
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including State and Territory based education sectors (Government, Catholic and Independent) and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education bodies.
  • Promote Narragunnawali in public forums

You will be supported to undertake relevant training, have freedom to manage and own projects and will receive a competitive salary – $70,000 – $75,000.
