DESCRIPTION:Place + Practice\, with Shea Oberleuter \nAs part of National Reconciliation Week\, join Torres Strait Islander artist Shea Oberleuter for a conversation exploring memory\, identity\, culture and change\, and the experiences that continue to shape their creative practice. \nCentral to her work is the idea of “Lewa\,”a word that carries layered personal meaning\, grounding her practice in lived experience and heritage. Through process and form\, Shea considers how identity is shaped across time\, and how it can be expressed through material and making. \nShea Oberleuter is a glass artist whose practice blends traditional techniques with contemporary expression. Drawing on her cultural identity\, her work explores themes of family\, memory\, and belonging.
