Manager, Communications & Engagement Team
Location: Canberra or Sydney
Full-time Fixed-term contract to 30 June 2020. (with potential for a 3-year extension depending on funding)
RA Level 4B, Salary Range $85,000 – $95,000 + Super. Starting salary will depend on experience and qualification

Reconciliation Australia is seeking a Manager, Communications & Engagement Team.
Working in partnership with the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Communications Manager will be responsible for communication activities, which raise awareness, understanding and actions across the nation with a view to progressing reconciliation.
As Manager, you are responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the Communications & Engagement Team, including Reconciliation Australia’s signature campaign – National Reconciliation Week. You will lead Reconciliation Australia’s communication, information and events management initiatives. As Manager, you will lead and develop a diverse team.
The Manager, in collaboration with the COO, will:
- Create speeches, reports and presentations for Executive members and Board Directors
- Manage Reconciliation Australia’s social media platforms.
- Actively promote through communication, Reconciliation Australia’s programs and activities with Aboriginal and Torres Straight leaders and organisations.
