RA Level 4 or 5, Salary $85,000 – $95,000 + Super

Reconciliation Australia is an independent, national, not-for-profit organisation promoting and facilitating reconciliation by building relationships, respect and trust between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The IGP Manager is responsible for the delivery of the biennial Indigenous Governance Awards and the development of new program activities as part of Reconciliation Australia’s expanding Indigenous Governance Program.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to help support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and communities to assert their self-determination and positively re-frame the discourse around Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander governance and success.

The position will be responsible for all aspects of the 2020 Indigenous Governance Awards and the expansion of the program to provide greater support for effective Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander governance.

The successful applicant will have;

  • Previous experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders, combined with a demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and societies.
  • High level ability to manage complex programs, including the development and implementation of an effective program cycle.
  • Strong management and organisational skills including project and/or events management and financial management skills.
  • A strategic focus and ability to communicate with influence to drive results and build and nurture both internal and external relationships.

Reconciliation Australia will provide you with a unique experience working in the not-for-profit sector and liaising closely with individuals, senior executives and working groups from a range of sectors.
