SUMMARY:All In Tee Project
DESCRIPTION:Aligned with the 2026 theme\, the ‘All In’ Tee Project encourages children and families to come together in a fun and meaningful way to strengthen understanding of\nreconciliation. Children will first explore the purpose of National Reconciliation Week through age appropriate stories\, discussions\, and play based learning experiences during playgroups at our Child & Family HUBS at Coolangatta\, Nerang\, Labrador and Coomera Springs. These activities help children understand the ideas of togetherness\, respect\, and walking alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander\npeoples. Each playgroup will collaboratively create its own unique T shirt logo that incorporates the theme “All In.” Children will have opportunities to express their ideas through drawing\, painting\, symbols\, colours\, and shared creativity. Practitioners will support them to ensure designs are culturally respectful and inclusive. These playgroup-designed logos will be printed onto tshirts giving each group a strong sense of identity and belonging while celebrating the NRW theme.

SUMMARY:Boorloo Walk for Truth
DESCRIPTION:The Boorloo Aboriginal Alliance is holding the Boorloo Walk for Truth as part of the National Walk for Truth happening across the country on 27 May 2026. The walks are taking place during National Reconciliation Week\, and mark the end of Yoorook Commissioner Travis Lovett’s 800km National Walk for Truth from Melbourne to Canberra. \nThe Boorloo Walk for Truth\, hosted by Noongar TV presenter Narelda Jacobs\, will begin at The Point at 11am and walk to Parliament House by 2pm\, to call for Aboriginal-led truthtelling in WA and nationally. \nThis is an opportunity to listen deeply and to walk in unity – it is not a protest. Along the way\, participants will hear truthtelling stories of strength and courage\, including following in the footsteps of Whadjuk matriarch Fanny Balbuk Yooreel. Balbuk resisted attempts to stop her practising traditions and culture\, and she frequently protested at Government House.

SUMMARY:Latrobe City Reconciliation Week Flag Raising and Community Celebration
DESCRIPTION:All In for National Reconciliation Week 2026\nThe theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026 is All In\, a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.\nAll In makes clear that reconciliation is not a spectator sport and that all of us must step away from the sidelines and take action to make change.\nThe theme also reminds us that reconciliation and advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights isn’t a passive activity\, and it is not solely the responsibility of First Nations people\, who have carried the weight of championing\, explaining and acting for far too long.\nReconciliation will not happen by itself\, and it will not happen without all of us.\nJoin us for a flag-raising ceremony outside the Latrobe City Council Headquarters\, followed by a free morning tea and community activities in the Nambur Wariga room.\nRegistrations are encouraged but not essential.

SUMMARY:ALWAYS WATCHING Movie Day
DESCRIPTION:The Smith Family is thrilled to invite you to a special movie event we’re hosting at the Katherine Cinema. Absolutely free on the 27th of May from 1:00pm onwards.\nWe’re excited to be screening “Always Watching.” This is so much more than a documentary—it’s a living archive and a powerful instrument for national healing. Through the honest and deeply moving testimonies of Stolen Generations survivors\, the film transforms individual truth-telling into a collective source of wisdom. It provides an unparalleled opportunity for Australian society to understand the lasting impacts of forced child removal policies. \nBut “Always Watching” is not simply a historical account; it’s a sacred space for survivor families to find validation and connection\, a spark for important community conversations\, a framework for reconciliation within organisations and government\, and a valuable teaching resource for schools and universities. Each story shared in the film is a gift—an invitation to witness
