Location: Canberra or Sydney

Full-time, fixed-term contract to 30 June 2020 – with possibility of an extension till November 2020

RA Level 5, Salary Range $95,000 – $110,000 + Super. Starting salary will depend on experience and qualification.

Reconciliation Australia is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Events & Campaigns in the Communications & Engagement Team.

Working in partnership with the Chief Operating Officer, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from ideation through to completion. This is a senior role at Reconciliation Australia and requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders and work stream leads, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously.

Senior Project Manager Responsibilities include:

  1. Leading project planning sessions in a cross-team environment.
  2. Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders stakeholders.
  3. Coordinating internal/external resources plus suppliers.
  4. Managing progress of several sub-projects simultaneously and adapt work as required.
  5. Ensuring project initiatives meet deadlines, scope and budget constraints/boundaries.
  6. Development and maintenance of the assigned initiative/s’ delivery schedule/s.
  7. Development and maintenance of the program Risks, Actions, Issues, Dependencies and Decisions register (RAIDD).
  8. Refinement of scope and activity backlogs in coordination with the Communications Manager.
  9. Budget development and management in collaboration with the COO and Finance Manager.
  10. Maintenance of Program’s Change Control processes and artefacts.
  11. Weekly project/program status reporting.
  12. Managing relationships with key stakeholders.
  13. Designing and signing off on
  14. Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project and program documentation.
  15. Participating in tender process i.e. design, submission and review.
  16. Identification and development plus maintenance of holistic program Dependency log.
  17. Conducting project/program review and creating detailed reports for executive staff.
  18. Managing large and diverse teams.
