Learn About Reconciliation

There are many ways you can learn about reconciliation; this section of our website contains a lot of information that can start you on your journey to learning more.

We can provide you with information on:

  • Current issues affecting Indigenous Australians and the reconciliation movement, in the form of Q&A Factsheets.
  • The Apology to the Stolen Generations, with a link to access a copy of our documentary The Apology.
  • Cultural Awareness Training. We have a register where training providers can upload their details so that individuals and organisations looking for cultural awareness training can contact them.
  • National Reconciliation Week. Each year we update information on the NRW theme and you can access materials to help promote NRW in your workplace, school or community organisation.
  • NAIDOC Week.
  • The latest editions of RA's publications.
  • Speeches from Reconciliation Australia, made by staff and board members.
  • Links. You can access a range of links to websites that will help you learn more.
  • ABS Social Trends. We have collected some very interesting information on Indigenous Australians from the 2008 Social Trends report. The highlights from the report are featured in this section of the website.
  • Reconciliation News. Our newsletter comes out three times a year – you can download previous editions or join our mailing list to receive a copy.
  • The 1967 Referendum. In 2007, RA worked to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the 1967 Referendum – you can access all the materials developed here.
  • History of Reconciliation. This section provides a timeline of the reconciliation movement.
  • 2020 Summit of 2008. In 2008, two staff members from RA participated in the Prime Minister’s 2020 Summit. Find out more information on the Summit and RA’s participants in this section of the website.
