Objectives

The project aims were to:

  1. Improve financial literacy skills for Indigenous people;
  2. Improve access to face to face banking services for remote customers;
  3. Ensure development of and access to appropriate money management products for Indigenous people; and
  4. Ensure a strong commitment from relevant agencies and organisations to commit to and progress these objectives.

Considering the wide scope of the project, these objectives could not be completely addressed within the project timeframe (18 months) and will be carried forward to a future forum (see "Indigenous Financial Services Network" details below). Actions and recommendations to address project objectives are included in the NIMMA project documents.
