
The NIMMA project greatly benefited from the guidance of Indigenous community leaders and consultations with Indigenous peoples about their experiences and needs regarding financial literacy, access to banking products and services and consumer support services.
To ensure Indigenous communities continue to be involved in developing and implementing strategies to improve their financial independence in collaboration with the IFSN, an Indigenous Advisory Group (IAG) has been established, as a conduit for Indigenous peoples to raise issues and contribute feedback to the expert network. Members of the IAG are well respected Indigenous leaders who will support the IFSN project by providing invaluable inputs, advice, guidance and direction. These members are:
