What does reconciliation mean to you?

I think respect is a really, really good starting point for everybody. Respect your neighbour. You don’t have to embrace what they embrace but you have to understand why they embrace it.

What can we do?

I think education is the only way forward, it’s the best way, and if you give Aboriginal kids the abilities to be educated and give them access to the same centres of learning that white Australian kids get then that will, I believe encourage enormous change.

What is the ideal situation?

It’s a place where people will meet each other on equal footing in all the arenas of life. Australia I believe is a great country to provide all things to all people if it’s managed correctly, and I think reconciliation is a great place to start.
